Al-Huda Islamic Center of Indiana (AICI), as part of Al-Huda Foundation, was opened in 2021 after four years of planning and construction. AICI is a result of a fast-growing Muslim community in the thriving Fishers area.
The mosque is 40,000 sq ft with many beautiful and luxurious characteristics, such as gold-plated chandeliers, fine hand-woven Turkish carpet, among many other details.
The sisters’ area is an upstairs mezzanine, overlooking the spacious main musallah, with a capacity to hold over 1000 brothers and sisters to pray. Mothers and children under 7 can use what is known as the babysitting room.
Al-Huda Foundation also offers the Eman School, a quickly-growing Islamic school for the many youth living in the area, at least in part due to the many families who have moved to Fishers to be part of this community.
Dr. Nasser Karimian is the imam of this masjid, studying Philosophy of Religion and Islamic Studies around the world. He also specializes in youth development, himself reverting to Islam at the age of 14.
